Born in Santiago, Chile in 1960 and raised in the USA, he is fluent in both English and Spanish. He completed his education in California, becoming an Orthodontist in 2020, and has owned and operated his own practice in Atlanta since 1995. Recently joining Platinum, he brings expertise in expanders, habit appliances, braces, bite correctors, in-house aligners, and Invisalign.
His passion for providing orthodontic care without the distraction of running a private practice led him to join Platinum, where he looks forward to collaborating with other dental professionals and participating in interdisciplinary orthodontic treatment plans.

How clear aligners work:
Clear aligners are custom-made trays that fit over your teeth and gradually shift them into the desired position. The process starts with a consultation with your dentist, who will assess your teeth and determine whether clear aligners are the right choice for you. If so, they will take impressions of your teeth and use 3D imaging technology to create a digital model of your mouth. From there, a series of custom-made aligners will be created, each one slightly different from the previous one, to gradually move your teeth into the desired position over time. You will wear each set of aligners for a specified period, usually about two weeks, before switching to the next set in the series. The length of treatment will depend on your individual needs, but most people can expect to wear their aligners for several months to a year or more.
How Invisalign works:
Invisalign is a specific brand of clear aligners that follows a similar process to traditional clear aligners. However, Invisalign uses advanced technology to create an even more customized treatment plan. First, your dentist will take impressions of your teeth and use 3D imaging to create a virtual model of your mouth. From there, your dentist will create a customized treatment plan that shows the exact movements your teeth will make during each stage of treatment. This information is then used to create a series of custom-made aligners that will gradually shift your teeth into the desired position. You will wear each set of aligners for a specified period, usually about one to two weeks, before switching to the next set in the series. Treatment time can vary depending on your individual needs, but most people can expect to wear Invisalign aligners for several months to a year or more.
