Maxwell Doxey, DMD

The staff was extremely welcoming. Dr. Doxey is very skillful, friendly, and sociable. I had a chipped filling fixed and was in and out within 30 minutes. Thank you Dr. Doxey and staff!

Dr. Doxey loves dentistry and his patients! He loves getting to know new people everyday and has a soft spot for working with children especially. His enthusiasm is contagious and his approach is gentle. Born and raised in Salt Lake City, he went on to attend college at Southern Virginia University where he studied art and business in addition to playing soccer and being the student body president. He attended LECOM School of Dental Medicine in Florida where he and his family became enthusiastic Disneyworld fans and paddle boarders. They then spent the next three years in Carson City, Nevada where he became an avid trail runner and learned to sail on Lake Tahoe. Dr. Doxey is so excited to call Cache Valley home with his wife and their four boys. He loves tacos, skiing the Beav, Yosemite National Park, and when patients floss daily!

Dr. Shaun Heward - Oral Maxillofacial Surgeon

I had oral surgery today. I had anesthesia and everything went perfectly. The whole team was great! Dr. Shaun Heward, the surgeon, is so caring and kind. He called me twice before my surgery to explain everything that would be done and to answer my questions. It really put me at ease.

Dr. Shaun Heward was born and raised in Sandy, Utah. He attended Alta High School and completed his undergraduate at University of Utah. During this time he worked as a dental laboratory technician making crowns and bridges. He then moved to Lexington, Kentucky where he completed dental school at the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry. Following dental school, he began medical school at the University of Michigan Medical School. While at the University of Michigan, he also completed his internship in general surgery, residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, and was a chief resident in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Dr. Heward has extensive surgical training in corrective jaw surgery (orthognathic surgery), tumors/cysts of the jaws, face trauma, dental implants, wisdom teeth removal, cleft lip and palate, face reconstruction and bone grafting. He is delighted to have moved back to his home state of Utah and working with Platinum Dental Services. He also has a passion for serving others abroad and continues to treat less fortunate patients on mission trips overseas. When Dr. Heward is not at work he enjoys camping, fishing, hunting, biking, shooting, gardening, wood working and cooking.

Dr. Daniel Burstein - Orthodontist

I was looking for an Orthodontist and am so glad I found Dr. Burstein! He was very nice and knew the best treatments to help me get my best smile. I would reccomend him to anyone!

Born in Santiago, Chile in 1960. My family moved to the USA in 1962. I grew up speaking both English and Spanish. We moved to California where I went to college, dental school, and orthodontic specialty school where I became an Orthodontist in 2020. My wife and I moved to Atlanta, GA in 1993 where we raised 3 boys who are now all out of the house. I have owned and operated my orthodontic practice in Atlanta since 1995. I recently sold my office to join Platinum. I have years of experience in managing an orthodontic practice both in clinical and administrative areas. I am proficient in all clinical aspects of orthodontic care. I specialize in expanders, habit appliances, braces, bite correctors, in house aligners using Orchestrate 3D software, as well as invisalign. My goal is to join a dental/orthodontic group where I can concentrate on providing treatment to patients in need. I joined Platinum because I aim to provide care to those in need without the distraction of running a private practice. I also look forward to enjoying more professional interactions and participation in more interdisciplinary orthodontic treatment plans.

Dr. Devin Christiansen - Periodontist

Very thorough and professional. Dr. Christiansen took a lot of time explaining things to me. Alyssa was great while trying to contact and figure out my insurance. The whole staff was very helpful. I will definitely be going there again.

Dr. Devin Christiansen was born and raised in Bountiful, Utah. He attended Weber State University where he got a degree in Microbiology. He received his Doctorate in Dental Medicine from the University of Louisville, and went on to specialize in the field of Periodontics and earned a Masters Degree in Oral Biology at the University of Nebraska. He is currently an associate professor at the University of Utah School of Dentistry. Outside of dentistry, Dr Christiansen enjoys spending time with his wife Halee and 3 kids – Davis, Madison, and Janie.
